To Enter Kindergarten, children must be 5 years old on or before September 1 . To enter first grade, children must be 6 years old on or before Sept 1.
To register your child in school, the following documentation is needed:
1. Birth Certificate
2. Proof of immunizations on a Form 680 , which can be obtained at the Department of Health at the following address:

3. Proof of physical examination within the last year. If documentation cannot be provided, physical examination must be scheduled within 30 days.
4. Verification of your residency in Orange County with one of the following:
A. Homestead Exemption Card
B. Lease/ Rental Agreement
C. Notarized Statement
D. Declaration of Domicile ( for new residents of Florida )
To obtain a Declaration of Domicile ($8), apply at the Comptroller's Office, Monday thru Friday, 7:30am - 4:40pm, at the address below:

Foreign Students
Foreign Students who wish to change their status from non-student should contact Virginia Redding, Foreign Student Advisor, Pupil Assignment, at (407) 317-3200, ext 2118.
Please Note : School records of foreign students must be translated to English.
Guardianship
If you are not the parent or custodial parent of a student, State Law requires that one of the following documents be provided for enrollment:
Court Custody Documentation
Department of Children and Families Placement Letter
Educational Guardianship (given only to parents or custodial parents living outside Orange County )
